This filter features pleated filter media and washable pleats.
Pleated filter media allows optimal surface area for which to catch contaminants and also increases the strength and stability of the filter itself, preventing collapse when soaked and loaded with contaminants.
Washable pleats allows for the extension of this items life as it can be cleared of loose debris and reinserted.
Wash carefully to avoid causing damage to the filter, if the pleats wear thin or can not be cleared of debris then the filter must be replaced.
